A 17-year-old boy (names withheld), on Monday afternoon attempted
another stowaway at the Benin City airport which was foiled by security
operatives.
This is coming less than two weeks after 13-year-old Daniel Ricky
Oikhana, beat all security apparatus of the airport and boarded a
Lagos-bound airplane operated byArik Air, through the landing gear
compartment.According to a report monitored on a local television station in
Benin on Monday night ,the teenager was arrested by vigilant
airportsecurity operatives while attempting to stowaway in an
unidentified aircraft at the tarmac of the airport.
The report stated that the boy is currently being detained at the Airport police station.When contacted, the Benin City airport manager, Ayodele Sunday, could
not be reached as calls put across to his phone went unanswered.
