With the way different groups and persons are going about their
various political campaign adverts, it can only be said that these are
really desperate times for politicians and their supporters.
Since the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples
Democratic Party, openly lambasting the opposing party (All Progressives
Congress) and its presidential candidate, Rtd. Gen. Muhammad Buhari in a bizarre newspaper publication few weeks ago , it has now become a trend.
A group has mocked President Goodluck Jonathan in newspaper
political adverts with famous answers he gave to journalists in recent
past. The advertisement was made in one of the national dailies last
week. The group modified “Goodluck Ebele Jonathan” to “Goodluck Dunno
Jonathan” based on his famous phrase “I don’t know”. They added
questions like, ‘do you know where the Chibok girls are?’, ‘is it true
that $20Billion is missing from NNPC?’, and more….with supposed replies
tantamount to making a mockery of the president.
The ridiculous newspaper advert ended with “It is time for real
leadership. It is time for change! Vote APC. Vote Buhari/Osinbajo”. Is
this what politics about?
